Farhoumand Dentists reflect on Father’s Day

June 18, 2016

“Our Dad was a terrible driver. We often tell stories of his many car accidents, which he went through hoops to keep hidden from our Mother. He had flipped cars, taken out front entrances, run over people, even bumped into a cop car. It’s a miracle none of us ever died riding with him!

Although Dad was a horrible driver, he was an amazing father. He was full of life, love, humor, compassion, faith, generosity and affection.

Most of all, I appreciated him treating his sons and daughters equally, specially in getting an education. He is the reason I became a dentist.

Although he passed over 20 years ago, he still gives me courage to face adversity. I still feel his love and support from the spiritual world.

I’m forever indebted to you Dad for trying to teach us by example.”

“Like most people I can’t believe how time has passed so quickly.

My son Safa is now 19 years old and he will be entering his junior year in college. He has decided to go into the field of medicine. My daughter Talia is 14 years old and she will start high school next year!!

Talia will be the next dentist in the family. She already downloads dentistry related games and facts applications on her I-phone and she loves to share and constantly questions me on the field of dentistry. So even at home we talk about dentistry!!

As a father, I am blessed to have them in my life and even though I have the responsibility to teach and educate them, the two of them have taught me many lessons in life! From one father to all the Fathers out there, Enjoy your children, hug them, kiss them and Happy Father’s Day!!”
